Le Vie dell’Acqua is a project that helps to discover the springs of Mount Amiata, promoting a slow and zero impact tourism. It is financed by Adf and Acea and supported by the municipalities of Arcidosso, Castel del Piano, Castiglione d’Orcia, Santa Fiora and Seggiano.
From spring to spring, “Le Vie dell’Acqua” project allows locals and tourists, who come to the ancient volcano, to discover unspoiled places, where “the rock turns into water”.
The itineraries traced by professional environmental guides allow you to discover the biodiversity that embraces all natural springs of Mount Amiata. Stories of places, people and real events dictate the rhythm of the routes, making excursions a unique experience of its kind.
The Water Museum of Vivo d’Orcia was founded in the green heart of Mount Amiata and Valdorcia, a place dedicated to water recognized as a primary value for the community.
The Amiata is a mountain that makes itself loved. Art, culture, nature and sport are the distinctive elements that make it unique. From its lovely little villages to the summit, the ancient volcano is a small world to be discovered, step by step, spring after spring.
